- Regular thorough cleansing
- Protection from moisture loss and external roughness
- Protection from the ultraviolet rays of the sun
7 Basic Steps For Cleansing
- Use a cleanser or washing gel appropriate for your skin type. This helps to remove the outer layer of dead cells.
- Rinse off well with plenty of water
- Use a dry towel or a facial sponge to pat your face dry. Do not rub and pull your skin. They cause your skin to lose their elasticity
- Apply astringent only if you have oily skin.
- Toner is used for tightening and toning the skin, as a result, helps to close down pores.
- Apply moisturiser (Note: People with oily skin should use an oil free moisturiser)
- Apply eye gel in the day, and a superb light eye cream at night. This is to protect and nourish the extremely delicate tissue around the eye. (Note: face moisturiser should not be applied to the eye area)
Skin Problems
- Freckles: Avoid the sun and use a sun protection & lightening cream
- Moles and warts: They can be removed surgically, although it is recommended not to. Consult the doctor immediately if the mole or wart grows bigger or bleeds.
- Blackheads: These are plugs of sebum that turn black when they come into contact with oxygen. A facial scrub and mask will help
- Whiteheads: These are plugs of sebum trapped under the skin. Also use a facial scrub and mask and follow up with a proper skin care routine.
- Wrinkles: Sun, poor moisturizer protection, dehydrated and harsh weather will give premature lines. Make-up can cover them until they become too pronounced at middle-age.
- Open pores: Mask often, and keep clean while toning your face regularly
- Allergies: These can develop, often because of the perfume or some substances in the skin product you put on your face
- Pimples and acne: Puberty brings on hormonal changes and excessive oiliness of the skin. The uncomfortable condition can last into the late teens and early twenties.
